General: Koch Engineering-Müsing Racing Team signs Moritz Milatz

29 January 2015 by Andrew Waldera

Cycling: Moritz Milatz, fourth in the World Championships, who was considering retiring just a few weeks ago, will start this season for the newly formed Koch Engineering-Müsing Racing Team. The MTB team around Wolfram Kurschat can thus build on another very powerful rider.

Despite a very good 32 season, the 2014-year-old from Freiburg did not get a contract from the BMC Racing Team and subsequently enrolled at the University of Freiburg. The Koch Engineering-Müsing Racing Team offers the family man the opportunity to continue taking part in competitions alongside his studies. Studying has top priority for the family man, which is why the training plan has to be adjusted accordingly. Nevertheless, Milatz keeps an eye on the Olympic Games.

Daniel Voigt, German Youth Champion 2010, will also start for the Kurschat team. Another strong newcomer to the Koch Engineering-Müsing Racing Team is Lukas Baum, junior world and European champion in 2013. At the same time, the man from Speyer drives for the rad-net ROSE team and is aiming for the 2016 World Championships in Nove Mesto. The team is completed by five young athletes. The first outing of the new team is planned for mid-April at the BMC Racing Cup in Schaan.
