cycling: New partners for the Canyon Factory Enduro Team

30 January 2015 by the editorial office

Cycling: The new Enduro season is just around the corner and the teams and riders are in the final stages of their restructuring. The Canyon Factory ENduro Team was one of the most successful teams in the Enduro World Series last year and can rely on products from Rock Shox, GoPro and Lupine in the new season.

There were some big changes for the Canyon Factory Enduro Team around Fabien Barel, Joe Barnes, Ludo May and Ines Thoma in winter. Their setup on their Canyon Strive CF bikes has undergone a major change with the switch from Fox Suspension to Rock Shox. After relying on the XX1 drive from Sram in recent years, the Pike and the Monarch suspension elements are now also used in order to be able to adapt perfectly to the ground. Furthermore, with GoPro and Lupine, you have two big names on board, which the team supplies with helmet cameras and lamps.

CFET Team Manager Flo Goral is busy preparing for the season:
“A trusting partnership has developed between Sram and Canyon in recent years. We have the same attitude towards biking, the same high standards when it comes to parts and material and have been working together in a wide variety of disciplines and at events for a long time. Since we have been using the XX1 drive, SRAM brakes and Reverb seat posts since the team was founded two years ago, adding RockShox suspension elements is a logical step in order to further intensify the cooperation and tease out more synergy effects. Ultimately, not only our team riders benefit from this, but also all Canyon fans. I am also pleased that the new Sram XX1 power meters are available to us for the season. Targeted training based on performance analysis is the next big step for us and will take it to a whole new level.”

John Dawson, Sram MTB Sports Marketing Director, is looking forward to the closer cooperation:
“The Canyon Factory Enduro Team is a promising partner that has been using and representing SRAM brakes and drivetrain components for two years. So it was only logical to also equip the team with RockShox dampers. Efforts to develop our products and combine our passion for bicycles with a thriving company like Canyon Bicycles is what we have been waiting for. We look forward to the results.”

The Canyon Factory Enduro Team is supported by the following partners in 2015:
Mavic: wheels, tires and clothing
SRAM: drive train and brakes
RockShox: Suspension forks, dampers and dropper posts
Ergon: grips, saddles, gloves and backpacks Topeak: tools

Urge Bike Products: Full Face Helmets
