Product news: Sram XX1 now also in black

8 January 2015 by Rick Schubert

Market: Sram has been offering its top model of the eleven-speed drive, the XX1 group, in a subtle black since the beginning of the year. In addition, there are other small accessories in the program.

With the XX1, Sram launched a product a few years ago that has had a major impact on the mountain bike market. With just one chainring and eleven sprockets at the rear, an almost gigantic gear ratio has been created. This in combination with the X-Sync technology, which prevents the chain from falling off, hit like a bomb. Now, at the turn of the year, the XX1 group has been given a new look and is now available in an elegant black.

In terms of price, however, it remains a stunner:

XX1 crank incl. chain ring - 405 euros
XX1 Triggers – 163 euros
XX1 X-Horizon rear derailleur – 290 euros

You also have accessories like a cover for the derailleur mount and a protection, a kind of shoe for the crank arms. Like the new eleven-speed group, both come in plain black and all for a small purse. The carbon crank shoes are already available for a slim nine euros, the front derailleur cover for just under 14 euros.
