cycling: White Style 2015: Freeriding in the snow

13 January 2015 by the editorial office

leogangwinter1

Cycling: On January 30th, the first FMB event of the season will take place in Austria in Saalfelden Leogang - the special thing about it: It will be held entirely in the snow. As in previous years, some of the best freeriders in Europe gather there to outdo each other in daring tricks.

The White Style is a special event in two respects: Obstacles made entirely of ice and snow and the competition being held under floodlights - both ensure a unique atmosphere, a great look and above all: lots of fun for drivers and spectators. Course designer Markus Hampl and his crew are currently working flat out on the course.

In addition to scene greats such as last year's winner Antoine Bizet from France and his compatriot Franck Paulin or Briton Daryl Brown, six German drivers will also face the special course. The field of drivers at a glance:

There will also be plenty of action for the spectators: as part of the White Style, there will be the opportunity to test a fat bike in its natural environment. A dual slalom on fat bikes will also take place on January 30th at 18 p.m.

Finally, there is a short teaser clip to get you in the mood for the event:
