World record attempts are currently very popular! Just a few days ago, Australian Rohan Dennis broke the hour record set by Austrian Matthias Brändle in Switzerland. Extreme cyclist Christoph Strasser also wants to set a new world record – but a 24-hour world record straight away!
Christoph Strasser is a true energy miracle and has often proven what incredible achievements he is capable of. Last year the Austrian won both the Race Across America and the Race Around Austria. He also currently holds the course records there. Strasser won the Race Across America alone three times. The Austrian has all the prerequisites to break the existing 24-hour outdoor track world record set in 2010 by Jure Robic, who died in an accident in 2004. The mark that Strasser has to surpass is an unbelievable 840,4 kilometers.
The 24-hour world record attempt will take place on March 20th as part of the “Berlin Bicycle Week” at Tempelhof Airport.
