Product news: The new Scott pro bikes

February 4rd 2015 by the editorial office

Cycling / Market: In 2015 Scott will again support two professional teams in the road sector: Orica GreenEdge and IAM Cycling. On which bikes Roger Kluge, Matthias Brändle and co. going into the season, we would like to introduce you to them briefly.

The Orica GreenEdge and IAM team riders will be able to choose between two bikes this season. On the one hand the aerodynamic Scott Foil, which once set standards when it was first introduced, and on the other hand the perennial favorite Scott Addict, which with its low weight should certainly be the first choice when a lot of altitude is on the agenda.

Scott Foil

With its excellent aerodynamic properties and outstanding stiffness values, the foil is the perfect weapon for sprinters. With a frame weight of 890g, the weight is still very low despite the focus on aerodynamics.

Not only the pros will be able to enjoy the Foil in Team Issue - in response to numerous customer requests, the 2015 bike will also be available for sale for us end customers as an IAM Cycling Replica

Scott Addict

The now almost legendary Scott Addict has been one of the lightest carbon bikes ever since it was launched. Even in 2015, the weight of the frame and fork (790g / 300g) still leaves people open-mouthed. The Addict is the right bike when there are many meters of altitude to climb and every gram of weight saps your strength.

Like the Foil, the Addict will be available in stores as a Team Issue. Since the UCI regulations do not apply there and the barriers to a minimum weight are therefore no longer applicable, the top model available as an Orica GreenEdge Replica with Shimano's Di2 weighs just 6,28 kg.
