General: BMC MTB Racing Team 2015 with high expectations

March 10, 2015 by the editorial office

Cycling: The reigning world champion Julien Absalon, Lukas Flückiger, the former marathon and XCE world champion Ralph Näf as well as the two young Swiss pistols Martin Fanger and Reto Indergand make up the BMC MTB Racing Team this year.

The Swiss bike manufacturer BMC is an integral part of racing, whether on or off the road. With a number of titles in the past, they have proven how competitive their material is and so they are attacking fully in the new season. As in previous years, the BMC MTB Racing Team, which focuses on national and international XCE and marathon races, will be led by reigning world champion Julien Absalon. Alongside Nino Schurter (Scott-Odlo), the record holder is undoubtedly the strongest rider in the World Cup peloton at the moment.

The successes of the last few years have not only increased the expectations of the fans. The entire team also has big goals that want to be achieved. Absalon, Flückiger and Näf will concentrate primarily on this year's World Cup, with Näf in Lenzerheide being on home soil for the first time and only having victory in mind on the course he designed.
But the World Cup taking place in Andorra is also a big part of the season. Julien Absalon, despite being slowed down by a broken collarbone, is on his way to finding his best form and aiming for his sixth world title there.

The team will also take part in the BMC Racing Cup, where they will compete together for the first time on April 12 in Schaan.
