March 12, 2015 by Rick Schubert

Market: The German carbon specialist Lightweight and quattro GmbH are now linked in partnership. Together they have developed a high-end street bike, the Audi Sport Racing Bike.

Lightweight and Audi worked together behind closed doors. The result of this new partnership is the Audi Sport Racing Bike, which will be presented to the world public for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show. Based on the Lightweight Milestone Clincher wheels and a Urgestalt frame, a sporty racing machine of the most modern design is created: an exclusive and highly technical racing bike as an expression of absolute lightweight construction and sportiness.

The Audi Sport Racing Bike will be available as a complete bike in five frame sizes with Shimano DuraAce Di2 equipment and milestone wheels. All of the equipment was chosen with a view to the special Audi Sport requirements: details such as a Selle Italia saddle with Audi fine Nappa leather cover, a paint finish developed by the Audi Concept Design Studio in Munich, Lightweight wheels that blend in with the design and an aluminum badge on the seat tube, on which the individual limitation number is embossed.

Lightweight and quattro GmbH are specialists in technology and design in their field, always with the aim of bringing maximum performance to the road. Some of the companies use identical materials, such as the high-performance carbon fiber T-1000, which is used both in the Lightweight wheels and in the Audi R18 e-tron quattro. With the Audi Sport Racing Bike, the two brands want to combine sportiness, design and exclusivity.
Strictly limited to 50 copies, the bike will be sold through the Audi partner network and the Audi forums in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm.
