Cycling: Radon Bike is stepping on the gas this year. With the former fourcross world champion Joost Wichman, who takes care of the team support in his position as sports marketing manager, they have their own Enduro Factory Team in addition to an XC and Downhill team.
“We are a young and talented team that will leave its mark on the enduro scene in 2015. The team attitude is down to earth, we love mountain biking and that perfectly reflects the philosophy of Radon”, says Wichman euphorically about the new official EWS team.
With Raphaela Richter, James Shirley, Petrik Brückner and Joost Wichman himself, a very young and talented team has been put together.
Petrik Brückner and the only 17-year-old Raphaela Richter will primarily concentrate on the Sram Specialized Enduro Series and the European Enduro Series.
However, the German Enduro Championship also attracts a lot of attention. Richter secured an impressive third place finish at the DM last year and will be a hot contender for the title this year. Likewise Brückner: the Thuringian has been on the podium at the SSES several times and is always able to win races.
James Shirley calls the Scottish Highlands his home and is technically a very accomplished driver. He will focus primarily on the Enduro World Series and try to get solid top 20 results.
The riders will all sit on the Radon Slide Carbon 650B. The enduro bike shines with light weight and has been optimized to compete on an international level.
Other sponsors of the Radon Factory Racing Enduro Team are:
Manitou Suspension, BBB Cycling, Winterberg Holiday Resort, Magura Brakes, DT Swiss Wheels, Continental Tires, IXS Protection, SRAM, Answer Components, Fizik Saddles, Carbocage Chainguards, Thirty7even Clothing, Acros Headset, RSP Bike Care, Phidra Accountants
