cycling: Christoph Sauser: Third Four Peaks title in a row?

June 5, 2015 by Andrew Waldera

Cycling: On June 17, 2015, the third edition of the Protective Bike Four Peaks starts with the opening race around Bad Kleinkirchheim. One of the top favorites of the four-day event is Christoph Sauser, who will defend his title with all his energy.

Sauser has already won the overall ranking of the Trans Germany follow-up event in the last two years. For the Swiss, another win would mean the Four Peaks title hat-trick would be perfect - and it would be a nice end to his career. The 2000 Olympic bronze medalist contests the penultimate race of his career with the Protective Bike Four Peaks 2015. However, the competition will not make it easy for him! The top-class starting field includes the Team Bulls drivers Stefan Sahm and Karl Platt.

Overall, the drivers have to master a demanding 270,83 kilometers with 8861 meters in altitude over the four days. After starting in Bad Kleinkirchheim, the tour leads via Hermagor to Weissensee.
