Cycling: Domenic Weinstein, who competes for the rad-net ROSE team, successfully defended his title in the single pursuit at the German track championships in the Berlin Velodrome. With a lead of around 1,2 seconds, the 20-year-old relegated Hamburg's Leon Raphael Rohde (LKT Team Brandenburg) to second place.
After qualifying, in which Rohde was still ahead, Weinstein was able to improve further and set a time of 4:21,991 minutes in the final. In the small final, Kersten Thiele (rad-net ROSE Team) and six-day specialist Leif Lampater (Maloja-Pushbikers) fought for the bronze medal. With a time of 4:24,814 minutes, Lampater left sixth in the World Championship (4:25,567 minutes) behind and was therefore also able to secure a medal.
