MTB cycling: Looking back on the last few days, the Protective Bike Four Peaks 2015 ended not surprisingly with title wins for Juri Ragnoli and Sanne van Paassen. However, the daily winners of the final stage have different names: Franz Hofer and Angelika Tazreiter.

On the last and rainy stage from Nassfeld/Tröpolach to Weissensee, another crisp 71,15 kilometers and 2.122 meters in altitude were on the agenda. As in the last few days, the day's victory for the men was decided in the sprint. The Italian Franz Hofer (Team Scott) won the race after 2:57.22,1:4,5 hours, followed by three German drivers from the Texpa-Simplon team in second to fourth place. It was particularly tight between second-placed Christian Schneidawind (+ 4,7 seconds) and Wolfgang Mayer (+ 5,4 seconds). Matthias Leisling crossed the finish line XNUMX seconds after Hofer.

Fifth place on the last day was enough for the Italian Juri Ragnoli (Team Scott) to win the title. Defending champion Christoph Sauser (Specialized Racing) lost contact with the leading group on the last stage due to two punctures and had to settle for eighth place. Despite this annoyance, the Swiss was able to hold onto second place in the overall rankings on his last multi-day tour. The Austrian Uwe Hochenwarter (Bikearena Obertraun) took third place in the overall classification.

In the women's category, Sanne van Paassen (Specialized) impressed with an impressive performance in the last few days. The Dutchwoman was at the top of the podium three times, on the last day the overall winner of the women's classification – almost surprisingly – “only” finished second. The overall second Angelika Tazreiter (SV Kürnberg) from Austria secured the victory of the day with her first stage victory. Cornelia Hug (Crazy Velo Shop Scott) from Switzerland finished third in both the daily and overall rankings.
