Product news: Selle Italia: New saddle series "Friction Free" promises smooth driving pleasure

July 22, 2015 by Andrew Waldera

SLR Friction Free Flow_Black

Market: With four new saddles and a completely new range of saddles, the saddle expert Selle Italia specifically appeals to bikers who have particularly pronounced thighs compared to the width of their hips. The "Friction Free" saddles are intended to ensure significantly less friction between the inner thighs and thus ensure smooth riding fun in the long term - not just proverbial.

The plus in riding comfort is made possible by the thinner saddle nose of the four new models SLR Friction Free, SLR Friction Free Flow, Flite Friction Free and Flite Friction Free Flow. Although the new saddles focus on the two factors of ergonomics and comfort, they should have the same performance as other saddles. All four saddles are equipped with a durable and easy-to-clean Fibra-Tek cover. A special seat post like the previous Monolink saddles is not required.

FLITE Friction Free_Black

The most affordable model in the new saddle series is the Flite Friction Free with a retail price of 129,95 euros. The Flite Friction Free is 145 mm wide, 275 mm long and weighs 205 grams. The Flite Friction Free is available for 139,95 euros Flow available with anatomical cut-out. The two SLR Friction Free saddles are narrower and lighter than the Flite saddles. The SLR is 131 mm wide and 275 mm long and weighs 185 grams. The SLR Friction Free saddle is available for EUR 149,95, the SLR Friction Free Flow with an anatomical cut-out costs EUR 154,95.
