The 2015 season is history for TEAM GREEN'N FIT. Although the drivers could not build on the results of previous years, they achieved very good results in some races. However, bad luck from a fall and injuries prevented further success.
As in previous years, the focus of the season was the “German Cycling Cup” racing series. Two events were canceled this year: the amateur race as part of "Around the financial center of Eschborn-Frankfurt" was canceled due to indications of a terrorist attack. The amateur event "Rad am Ring" at the Nürburgring could not be held due to the stormy weather.
In the nine remaining races, the starters of the Gütersloh team were able to present themselves with different results. The men were particularly convincing in the short-distance team competition. At the Tour d'Energie in Göttingen, at Circuit Cycling on the Hockenheimring and at the Münsterland-Giro, they each took 3rd place. They secured second place in the Schleizer Dreieck – things should go even better in the “Skoda Velodom” as part of Rund um Köln, where TEAM GREEN'N FIT took first place.
In the individual ranking, a day's win was just missed. Pascal Hanhart finished in the top 10 four times, Dennis Biendarra in second place missed the day's success on the short haul in Cologne. A few times, riders from the team were able to cause a stir in their age group: Stefan Frost won this ranking at the Velorace in Dresden.
The women showed strong performances, especially on the long distances. Manuela Freund finished 4th (Göttingen), 5th (Hockenheimring), 6th (Cologne) and 3rd (Münster) - making her the fastest driver in her age group three times.
In the overall ranking of the German Cycling Cup, Pascal Hanhart took 28th place as the team's best rider. Among the drivers, Manuela Freund came in 24th (5th in her age group). In the overall ranking, the team came in 24th out of a total of 725 teams.
TEAM GREEN'N FIT would like to thank all riders for their commitment this year! In the coming season, the team will again be at the start of the largest and most popular amateur race in Germany - with a breath of fresh air and some new faces.
