Cycling / Everyman: Today at 23.59:2016 p.m. sharp, registration for the Velothon Berlin 15.000 Everyman race opens. Up to XNUMX participants are expected by the organizer at the ninth edition of the popular cycling event in the metropolis.
Thousands of cycling fans flock to Berlin every year to take part in this event, which is one of the largest of its kind in Europe. The Velothon Berlin appeals to cycling beginners as well as ambitious frequent cyclists. Since the premiere in 2008, the professional racing concept and the attractive route have met every sporting requirement. In addition to the race there will be a cycling and outdoor fair with up to 100 exhibitors. Youngsters can compete in the Kid's Velothon.
In the amateur race, the participants again have two routes to choose from: the 60 km distance and the 120 km distance. The city tour leads the cyclists past the most important sights of the metropolis, with the long distance the route also leads through the southern outskirts of Berlin. The finish of the race marks the Straße des 17. Juni. During the early-bird discount phase (up to 4.000 registrations), registration for the amateur race for participants resident in Germany costs EUR 54,50 (short distance) or EUR 60,50 (long distance).
