MTB cycling: The cycling year 2016 has not been under a good star so far! After the cancellation of the racing bike classic Bayern Rundfahrt 2016, the organizer Trail Solutions has now canceled the entire European Enduro Series (EES)!
As the organizer Trail Solutions reports on its website, two factors were of decisive importance for the cancellation of the popular enduro racing series. On the one hand, the tense economic situation for this drastic step is listed, on the other hand, the ever-increasing degree of personal liability risk. What is surprising is the consistency and haste with which the cancellation is carried out. In addition to the entire European Enduro Series, all events planned by Trail Solutions will be canceled with immediate effect, including the Nordkette Quartet and the Nordkette Downhill. The organizer states that this decision was difficult and final after careful consideration.
The cancellation of the European Enduro Series not only tears a deep hole in the international racing calendar, but also in the hearts of mountain bikers. Once again, however, we are also becoming aware of the feats of strength and risks behind the holding of such mega events. We very much regret this decision by Trail Solution, but we can certainly understand the reasons. At this point we would like to thank Trail Solutions for a great racing series that has been a lot of fun for us over the last few years.
