Spectrum: Almost 65 years ago, the revolutionary from Argentina drove Ernesto Rafael Guevara de la Serna, also known as Che Guevara, on a motorcycle from Buenos Aires to Caracas. The trip went down in history as "The Motorcycle Diaries" and was filmed in 2004. Inspired by this journey and the basic idea of a revolution, the Swiss photographer Luca Zanetti follows in the footsteps of the revolutionary on a Flyer e-bike.
With this extraordinary adventure, the 45-year-old Swiss would like to initiate a peaceful revolution that calls for a more sustainable use of natural resources, especially in the area of mobility. For the 8000-kilometer tour, Luca Zanetti does not use a Norton 18 like Che does, but a Flyer e-bike from the TS series. For the Swiss, the e-bike is the ideal representative of a modern, sustainable and healthy way of getting around.
E-bike specialist Flyer from Switzerland was immediately willing to support the photographer on his adventure. Both Luca Zanetti and his companions were equipped with the right e-bikes. Before the trip, the premium e-bikes from the TS series were extensively tested in Switzerland, each with 60 kilograms of luggage. The bikes had to be dismantled into individual parts for transport to South America. Luca Zanetti has been traveling in South America since mid-December.
A total of six months are planned for the tour through South America. Luca Zanetti is accompanied alternately by four photographers, an ecologist and a journalist. With his "E-Bike Diaries" the Swiss man captures his adventures in words and pictures. Observers can thus participate in his experiences up close on different channels. Current reports and pictures from the fascinating tour through South America can be found on the website of the Swiss e-bike manufacturer Flyer.
