cycling: Vuelta a Espana 2016 route at a glance: 10 mountain finishes and a detour to France

11 January 2016 by Michael Faiss

Stage 15: Sabinánigo – Sallent de Gállego

Date: Sunday 4 September 2016

Length: 120km

Profile: Mountain stage with a mountain finish

Vuelta a Espana 2016

After the hardships of the previous day, the legs of many pros will be heavy and so it is certainly not inconvenient that day 16 is one of the shorter stages with 120km. The profile is quite demanding and the riders should by no means underestimate the mountain finish in Sallent de Gállego. Normally there shouldn't be too big a gap between the favorites here, but after a two-week tour and with the Aubisque in your legs, almost anything is possible.
