Spectrum / Cyclocross: For the third time after 2015 and 2014, the European Singlespeed Cyclocross Championship (SSCXEC) will take place on March 18th. The Berlin Bicycle Week and the Berlin Bicycle Show provide the perfect setting for the event, which aims to reconcile fun, competition and a sense of community.
One course, 50 minutes, lots of fun: these are the ingredients of the SSCXEC, which will take place on March 18th for the third time. After its premiere in the Netherlands in 2014 and last year's guest performance in France, the 2016 European Championships for Entry Crossers are coming to Berlin to determine the next winner at the Berlin Bicycle Show. Don't be fooled by the pompous title "European Championship": Of course, the focus is on the competition, but it should also be about having fun cycling and meeting and getting to know like-minded people in a relaxed atmosphere.
Despite the extremely relaxed character, internationally renowned drivers and even UCI WorldTour athletes have already announced their participation. Speaking of participation: Anyone who has a soft spot for cross and single-speed bikes can take part. The entry fee is a moderate €29 and the race will be held in two qualifying races and a final. If you are now interested in getting on the saddle in Berlin on March 18th, you can find more detailed information on the Berlin Bicycle Week website and ideally register directly:
