General: Future Team Jenatec Breckle: Hard training pays off

March 22, 2016 by the editorial office

After the winter holidays, the athletic preparation was tight once again in order to be fit for the upcoming cross-country run and athletic test. Valuable points could again be scored here in the youth promotion cup in Thuringia, run by SV SparkassenVersicherung.

On 13.02/2 we started the XNUMXnd cross-country race of the cup series in the Skatbank Arena in Altenburg on a nice but very selective route. Cyclists from all over Thuringia started. Our girls were very successful here and took the first two places:

1st place Lena Fabienne Franke
2nd place Lara Röhricht

The boys also did well here and were able to move into the top 20 with the following placements:

5th place Paul Weiss
16th place Tobias Kitzig
18th place Domenik Wolf
19th place Nico Cherry

It got exciting on February 21.02st. to the athletics test of the Thuringian Cycling Association in Erfurt. It was the 2nd this season and the boys had to defend a triple success. A multi-fight consisting of a cadence test, final triple jump, agility run, 60m sprint and a power circuit was to be completed. The intensive training paid off and we were able to achieve our goal:

1st place Dominik Wolf
2nd place Dennis Kühn
3th place Paul Weiss
6th place Niclas Hoffman
10th place Finn Marvin Nixdorf

The girls were also able to achieve successful placements:

3rd place Lena Fabienne Franke
4th place Lara Röhricht

In the overall ranking of the SparkassenVersicherung Cup, we have taken the lead with the Future Team and can start in the first cup race of the season for both the boys and girls in yellow:

 1th place Paul White

2nd place Dominik Wolf

 1th place Lena-Fabienne Franke

3th place Lara Röhricht

fteam6Now we have finished the athletic training and use every training session to collect cycling kilometers. Thanks to the mild winter, this was possible almost continuously this year. After a training weekend and training together with athletes from the Thuringian clubs in Gera and Erfurt, a few kilometers were quickly covered again.

How fit everyone was could be determined at the KLD in Eisenberg (at our medical partner - forest hospital "Rudolf Elle") or Erfurt. Using a level test, the training values for the upcoming season are individually adjusted. These values are also the basis for the upcoming training camp from 22.03. until 03.04. in Vrsar, Croatia, which everyone is really looking forward to.
