20 April 2016 by Michael Faiss

Market: The Haute Route Events are undoubtedly among the best-known and at the same time most difficult events of the year for everyone. Mavic Haute Route: Limited wheelsets

From May 1st, four wheelsets from the Ksyrium series will be available in a limited Haute Route Edition. The wheels all come with a special, blue Haute Route decor on the rims and one or the other technical change that sets the special versions apart from the series. For example, the Ksyrium Pro Exalith get lighter and wider ISM 4D rims (21mm outside) in their Haute Route Edition.

The Ksyrium Carbon top model Pro Carbon SL will be available in all its variants as a limited Haute Route Edition: Whether clincher or tubular, whether rim or disc. As a special feature, the Haute Route versions of the wheelsets not only bring the blue decor and the exclusivity of the limited number with, but in contrast to the standard wheels are also all equipped with high-quality ceramic bearings, which reduce rolling resistance and increase durability.

More information about the individual wheelsets and the technical background can be found in our article on Ksyrium Carbon range.

Ksyrium Haute Route helmet

The helmet from the Haute Route collection is based on the popular Mavic Ksyrium Elite road helmet and differs only in design and color scheme. Many drivers appreciate the great comfort of the helmet and are happy to accept the odd gram of extra weight. The fact that the helmet fits so well on so many different heads is mainly due to the Ergo Hold SL holding system, which can be finely adjusted in height and width. 22 ventilation openings ensure a pleasant climate.

Mavic Haute Route Pro Jersey

The Haute Route jersey shines in particular with its extremely low weight (160g) and high absorbency: both properties that participants of the Haute Route undoubtedly appreciate. Side mesh inserts help to keep the climate as comfortable as possible and the ergonomic cut helps with moisture transport without restricting freedom of movement. Three back pockets and a waterproof zip pocket are now standard, as is the silicone hip gripper on the hem.

Mavic Haute Route Pro Bib Short

The bib shorts from the Haute Route collection appeal primarily to climbing and long-distance specialists. The lightweight Skin Power material is designed to ensure comfort while providing solid muscle support. Together with the flat seams, this protects the skin, especially on longer journeys. For the seat pad, Mavic relies on the Ortholite memory foam, which on the one hand offers significantly better shock absorption compared to the competition, but also ensures a very quick adjustment when changing the seating position.
