Product news: Test: Action Cam accessories from ISY - not only for GoPro

31 May 2016 by the editorial office

Review: Earlier this year, Media Markt and Saturn subsidiary ISY introduced a range of action cam mounts. We were able to test the cheap accessories for cameras like the GoPro extensively and are giving away a complete set from ISY.

According to the packaging, the various mounts are for the GoPro. This is a little irritating, because most action cams have the same mount as the market leader GoPro and are therefore just as compatible. We present four of the eight accessory products that have been published.

ISY Chest Mount for GoPro

ISY chest strap for action cam

The chest gut is very similar to the original from GoPro and is in no way inferior to it. The workmanship is good and the scope of delivery also includes a small bag in which the belt can be conveniently messed up. The way it works is familiar and as simple as it is intuitive: the strap can be pulled over clothing and adjusted according to body shape, so that the camera always holds securely – even when things get a bit wild. For around €24,99, the mount is slightly cheaper than the original from GoPro and definitely worth recommending.

ISY Head Strap for GoPro

The helmet and head mount can be easily attached to almost any helmet or head thanks to the rubberized inside. Lengthening, shortening and adapting to the respective head shape can be done in a few simple steps and without much effort. Here, too, there's a small transport bag for when you're on the go. The workmanship is extremely successful - especially at the low price of €16,99

ISY standard 1/4″ mount

ISY GoPro adapter

With this adapter for €6,99 you can attach your action cam to any standard photo tripod with a 1/4″ thread.

ISY Action Cam Stick

ISY Cam Stick

The Action Cam Selfie Sick is extremely robust compared to other sticks and can even carry heavier compact cameras, which can also be easily attached using the 1/4″ screw on the top. Any cell phone or even an action cam can be attached with an appropriate holder, only when used with a cell phone the button for triggering, which is otherwise usual with selfie sticks, is missing. The extendable stick can be easily locked in different positions and you can experiment with different perspectives. At around €29,99, the Selfie Sick, which is 48 cm long when extended, is quite a bit more expensive than its often windy counterparts. However, as mentioned, you get a very robust product that also fits well in the hand thanks to the hand strap.

Together with ISY we are giving away all the items presented above, simply answer the question below and enter. Much luck!
