The Rose Xtra Watt-5 shines with a masterpiece of German engineering: the Rohloff Speedhub, an extremely reliable geared hub with 14 gears - the dream of every trekking lover. However, the shifting on the e-bike is not fully convincing, because it requires clear pedal breaks when changing gears and is geared so short that at around 25 km/h you are already riding in eleventh or twelfth gear. The equipment is very high-quality, with a well-functioning spring seat post, a suspension fork that can be locked from the handlebars, and pedals with good grip. In addition, there is the easy-to-read Bosch Nyon display with its numerous functions. The Bosch drive in the performance version presented itself as rather atypically restrained on the test bike.
