DM Eliminator Sprint Bodenmais: The medal candidates

Simon Gegenheimer (Rose-Vaujany fueled by Ultrasports)

The 27-year-old is considered a very strong sprinter and has already won two Sprint World Cups. In 2012 and 2013, Simon Gegenheimer became German champion in the cross-country sprint, and in 2015 he took third place in the World Championship Cross-Country Eliminator.

Heiko Hog (Freiburger Pilsner)

At the European Sprint Championships in 2015, the 21-year-old from the Black Forest surprised with second place, and he also won the Bundesliga sprint in Wombach. This year was followed by a tenth place at the European Championships in Sweden.

David Horvath (Lexware Mountain Bike Team)

The defending champion David Horvath starts the race as the top favourite. The 20-year-old not only has fast legs, but is also considered a strong driving technician. Last year, the native of Reutlingen finished second overall in the Bundesliga sprint classification and finished tenth at the World Championships.

Christian Pfaffle (Stevens MTB Racing)

Only 23 years old, but still in the sprint for a long time! Christian Pfäffle finished fourth in the inaugural World Championships in 2012, and the Swabian took second place in the first edition of the DM Eliminator. A year later, a third place followed in the DM.

Simon Stiebjahn (Team Bulls)

The all-rounder in the field par excellence - and extremely successful at that! Simon Stiebjahn is successful in three MTB disciplines and is one of the best German sprinters. The 26-year-old was German champion in 2014, last year he had to settle for second place.

DM Eliminator Sprint Bodenmais: The medal candidates

Elisabeth Brandau (Radon-EBE Racing)

The 30-year-old from Schönaich has been part of the sprint right from the start and won the title right away at the premiere. At the World Cup in Albstadt, she finished seventh in the cross-country discipline.

Nadine Rieder (AMG Red Deer)

An all-rounder with strengths in the sprint! The 26-year-old top favorite from the Allgäu finished fourth at the 2013 World Championships, followed by seventh place in 2015. The native of Sonthofen delivers to the point, which is also proven by her fifth place at the 2015 European Championships.

Lena Putz (Entirinfra Genesis)

The runner-up from 2014 has just secured the Bavarian championship title in cross-country. Strong driver and certainly to be reckoned with.
