Cycling: André Greipel sharply criticized the BDR about three weeks before the Road World Championships in Doha. In an interview with the Belgian newspaper Het Niewusblad, the German champion expresses his incomprehension that no decision has yet been made regarding the squad nomination for the road race on October 16th.

Not optimal conditions; André Greipel has now vented his anger in the Belgian newspaper 'Het Niewusblad'. "It is absolutely incomprehensible that the association has still not made a decision," the 34-year-old is quoted there. "I just do not understand. He alludes to the recently expressed considerations that one could possibly completely do without one of the two top sprinters in favor of a helper. His colleague and competitor Marcel Kittel is also up in the air: “It looks exactly like that for Marcel. It's just a really weird situation for both of us."
