General: Etixx – Quick-Step becomes Quick-Step Floors

28 October 2016 by Michael Faiss

News in brief: The next name change on the WorldTour circus in 2017. Marcel Kittel will ride for Quick-Step Floors next season after Etixx will step down as namesake of the Belgian team but remain as sponsor and outfitter. Flooring manufacturer Quick-Step has been supporting the team since 2003.

Change your name! In the coming season there will again be some well-known teams in a new "garment" - in the case of Etixx - Quick-Step, however, too much confusion should be ruled out. Sports nutrition manufacturer Etixx will withdraw as name sponsor, leaving the stage entirely to Quick-Step. The manufacturer of synthetic floor coverings is once again the sole name sponsor of Marcel Kittel's Belgian team, who will then wear the Quick-Step Floors jersey in 2017.
