Cycling / Market: As in the previous season, the riders of the South African WorldTour team Dimension Data will also start in 2017 with helmets made by the Italian manufacturer MET. To celebrate the close and successful collaboration, there are completely new helmet designs for the Manta, the Rivale and the Drone. The team helmets will also be available in stores from March next year - so not only Mark Cavendish and Co. will benefit from the fresh design.
In line with the new Dimension Data team kit, the Italian design studios from MET have also revised the design of the team helmets for next year. Mark Cavendish, Steve Cummings, Daniel Teklehaimanot and colleagues will be fighting for valuable WorldTour points in the coming season in a completely new outfit - even if the team colors white and green will of course remain the same in 2017.
Aero helmets MET Rivale and MET Manta
There is no change in the models - again in 2017 the Dimension Data guys have the choice between two aero road helmets. At just 200 grams in size M, the uncompromising Manta is one of the lightest closed aero models ever. If a little more air is required on the scalp, Mark Cavendish and Co. can fall back on the sister model Rivale, which is a few grams heavier and not quite as aerodynamic as the Manta, but thanks to intelligent air ducts it ensures a pleasant climate under the hood .
MET Drone time trial helmet
In the fight against the clock, next year the pros will again rely on the MET Drone Wide Body, which was presented in 2015 and previously developed with the drivers from MTN-Qhubeka. Thanks to a clever construction, the Drone Wide Body is still one of the best time trial helmets in 2017.
All MET helmets in the Dimension Data design will be available in stores from March.
