Cycling: 2016 was anything but successful for the Cannondale-Drapac team. Not a single win in a WorldTour race, a distant last in the team classification of the Tour de France and numerous riders in a slump. However, the signs for the coming season are improving – not least because of clever transfers, especially for the classics.

Cannondale-Drapac Pro Cycling Team 2017: Team bikes and kit
Unsurprisingly, as a factory team, Cannondale-Drapac will not change anything in terms of team bikes in the coming year. Rigoberto Uran and his colleagues will be driving the cars from the US manufacturer Cannondale for the top-class places again next season. The two most used models will again be the racer SuperSix (Evo) and the endurance and long-distance model Synapse. In the fight against the clock, the Cannondale Slice should again be the bike of choice. Nothing will change in terms of the components either: the 2017 drive will also come from Shimano, the wheels from the French manufacturer Mavic.
However, there is news with the team kit. Starting next season, products from the Swedish manufacturer POC, which had previously contributed helmets and goggles for the US team, will be used here.
Product news: Cannondale-Drapac from 2017 with POC clothing
Cycling / Market: The Swedish clothing and helmet specialist POC is expanding its involvement in cycling for the coming year and will be the clothing partner of the WorldTour Team Cannondale-Drapac from January 1st. Previously POC had supplied helmets and goggles, the team kit came from Castelli. Both sides expect the new cooperation to be a step forward. Since […]
2017 Cannondale-Drapac Pro Cycling Team:
Sport-wise, the Cannondale Drapac Pro Cycling Team certainly didn't have a good season. This can be seen from the fact that the team's best rider finished 45th in the UCI World Tour Ranking at the end of the year. Even as the best in his team, Rigoberto Uran was unable to meet expectations. He finished seventh in the Giro d'Italia and third in the Tour of Lombardy. Andrew Talansky finished fifth in the Tour de Suisse and the Vuelta a Espana. Moreno Moser and Pierre Rolland were not seen for almost the entire season. The team was not able to win a single WorldTour race throughout the year. After all, the three young Italians Davide Villela, Alberto Bettiol and Davide Formolo have taken a step forward in their development. In terms of youth, things are not only looking good in Italy, but also at Team Cannondale Drapac, as all three were held.
Moreno Moser, on the other hand, had to leave the team, who unfortunately was unable to meet expectations in the end. With Jack Bauer, Matti Breschel and Ramūnas Navardauskas, three other extremely fast drivers are leaving the team. However, they could clearly strengthen themselves with the commitment of Sep Vanmarcke. Together with Taylor Phinney, who is also new to the team, they should play a much better role in the classics next season. But it can only be a much more successful year if the actual top performers find their old form again. Rolland, Talansky and Uran in particular can do a lot more and should ensure better results in both the one-week and the three-week tours. If the young talents then take another step forward, Cannondale Drapac could indeed become a top team again. The potential is definitely there, because Lawson Craddock, Dylan Van Baarle and Wouter Wippert are also among the greater talents in cycling. However, it remains to be seen whether Joseph Lloyd Dombrowski will ever make a breakthrough.
