Spectrum: During the week from February 27 to March 5, 2017, the city of Berlin will be all about bicycles. Under the motto #cyclingunites, the 8th edition of the Berlin Bicycle Show will also present the bicycle culture festival Berlin Bicycle Week 2017. Both ambitious cyclists and beginners can look forward to an extremely diverse supporting program with many highlights.
For the eighth time, the Berlin Bicycle Show will open its doors to international visitors and trade visitors from March 3rd to 5th. The conceptually unique bicycle show will be held in the STATION Berlin event location on an area of 23.000 m². Visitors are offered six attractive areas that invite them to marvel, discover and get to know each other. In the AMBITION! Area focuses on performance in cycling. From racing bikes to mountain bikes, from beginner bikes to high-end bikes, all relevant areas are covered here. The E-MOBILITY Area, in which exciting new developments are presented as well as clever apps and additive e-mobility solutions, is all about the mobility change. As a special service for visitors, many innovations can be tried out directly on the e-bike and e-MTB test routes.
Also on the rise is the URBAN LIFESTYLE area, to which an area is also dedicated at the Berlin Bicycle Show. Practical, functional and stylish city bikes as well as design concepts are presented here. Of course, practical tools and useful gadgets that make everyday life more pleasant are not neglected. Trend-setting designer bike fashion is presented to visitors in the VELO COUTURE area. Experience-oriented globetrotters, tourers and cyclists should definitely not miss the TRAVEL & TOUR Area. Topics here include individual trips, training camps and bike destinations. Custom-made one-offs and handmade parts can be admired in the HANDMADE area. At the Best Campagnolo Build Award, frame builders will measure their skills.
Other highlights of the Berlin Bicycle Show will include the Berlin Trials Cup and the Cyclocross Race. A BMX area with a BMX mini ramp contest and BMX park workshops is also planned for 2017. The diverse program is rounded off with art and photo exhibitions on the subject of bicycles and the Bicycle Cinema with lectures and films. But that's not all!
