Lifestyle: After five editions and a long wait, the legendary slopestyle event Red Bull District Ride is making a comeback in early September next year. The scene of the spectacle will again be Nuremberg's old town, where the best riders in the world will compete against each other on an urban freeride course.
Big Airs fans should definitely mark September 1st and 2nd, 2017 in red on their calendars. On the unique course, which will be created especially for the event in the center of the Franconian metropolis, the riders will once again impressively demonstrate their skills at world-class level with rock-hard tricks. Viewers can follow the action up close in five different districts. In Nuremberg, however, it's not just about victory, but also about important points for the FMB World Tour Diamond Series.
The Red Bull District Ride was held in Nuremberg for the first time in 2005. This was followed by further events in 2006, 2011 and 2014. 2006 was a special event in the event calendar: in addition to Nuremberg, the Red Bull District Ride also stopped in Catania (Italy). Brandon Semenuk won the last Red Bull District Ride 2014 in Nuremberg. With a terrific firework of tricks – including an unbelievable Cork 720 barspin – the Canadian deserved victory.
