Illumination Busch & Müller IXON Fyre
The compact IXON Fyre shines with an extremely even light corridor, which is also relatively wide up to about 2 m in front of the wheel. A small, slightly darker zone can be seen at a distance of 15 m, but this is of no importance in practice. With "only" 30 lux, it is clear that other lights are brighter at the brightest point, but the FIRE shows how little this value alone says - some competing products with significantly more lux cannot keep up here in terms of illumination. Given the price and size, the burn time is exceptionally good, especially since the Fyre only starts to glow noticeably less intensely with an hour to go.
B&M offers a suitable rear light with the IXXY. The compact, all-round clearly visible light is attached to the seat post with an exchangeable strap, with different diameters not being an obstacle.
Haptics and operation Busch & Müller IXON Fyre
The case, encased in soft plastic, makes a valuable, solid impression. The recessed button is easy to use, even with winter gloves. Switching between the two modes is possible without switching off. The charge level indicator is located on the button, which shows the remaining light duration very precisely when changing the mode and when switching on by flashing signals.
The bracket consists of two legs that can be hung in two positions on the clamping element for different handlebar diameters. However, these segments can sometimes fall off. The holder is fixed by a clamping screw with a non-slip plastic head, which you can simply snap into place - it is therefore not necessary to turn the screw time-consumingly.
