Illumination Duranova Vegas F30
The Duranova has a brightness sensor that adjusts the lamp to the ambient light. If it's really dark, the lamp with its 30 lux is really bright: Directly in front of the wheel, it produces a large spot of light, which narrows significantly after about 2 m and leads into the distance as a uniformly illuminated aisle. The bright close-up area ensures a lot of safety when cornering, but when it comes to long-distance vision, you would like the light field to be a little wider. In our test, no data could be collected on the maximum burn time, especially since the motion sensor switches off the lamp after a few minutes. When driving faster, you should therefore turn the Vegas a little further up. The rear light is equipped with three LEDs, two of which are oriented to each side. In this way, a lot of light is emitted all around. The brightness sensor at the rear only decides between "on" and "off".
Haptics and operation Duranova Vegas F30
The easy-to-tact pusher on the top has a dull flashing green light that indicates automatic mode. To charge the battery, you have to separate it from the front part of the case by turning it slightly. The holder is screwed to the handlebar; a smooth-running clamping slide with a large release lever holds the front light. The rear light's silicone case has two tabs that connect with an oddly shaped plastic hook; the rear light does not sit very tightly on thin seat posts.
