The square Knog is definitely more than an emergency light. While it remains dark at close range, the zone 3-10 m in front of the wheel, which is important for early detection of potholes and the like, is brightly illuminated. After another small dark field you can look forward to a very decent distance view. The light field is very narrow overall; tight corners in complete darkness should therefore be avoided. The burn time is good and even exceeds the manufacturer's specification. The all-round glowing wheel of the front spotlight does not glare noticeably. The rear light, on the other hand, is almost too bright. It should be installed at a slight downward angle so as not to irritate road users approaching from behind. A good detail is the reflector integrated at the front and rear, which, according to the StVZO, should not be missing from the bike.

The narrow button on the Knog lamps is best operated with your fingernail; After a short period of getting used to it, you can switch between the two modes even when wearing gloves.
