Cycling: At the 72nd Nokere Koerse, Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) lived up to his role as favourite. The Frenchman easily won the uphill mass sprint after 192,3 kilometers in front of Adam Blythe (Aqua Blue Sport) and Joeri Stallaert (Cibel-Cebon). Bouhanni was able to celebrate his first win of the season. Two Germans also presented themselves very well: Phil Bauhaus (Sunweb) sprinted to fourth place and Rüdiger Selig (Bora-hansgrohe) was seventh.
