Market: After Wahoo Fitness has further completed its diverse range of fitness products and apps with the ELEMNT bike computer, the new Wahoo ELEMNT BOLT was introduced today. A major feature is the aerodynamic coordination of the mount and the computer to save crucial seconds.
The Wahoo ELEMNT BOLT is the world's first GPS bike computer in which the computer and mount complement each other to form an integrated system in order to reduce drag as much as possible. According to the manufacturer, the drag of the entire Wahoo ELEMNT BOLT system was reduced by more than 50% compared to leading competitors. This roughly corresponds to a saving of 12,6 seconds in a 40 km time trial and an average speed of 35 km/h. The Wahoo ELEMNT BOLT is aimed at performance-oriented racing cyclists and triathletes and their special needs.
The ELEMNT BOLT provides the rider with its high-contrast 2,2” display and the ELEMNT's QuickLook LED easy access to all important ride data and notifications via email, text messages and calls. Equipped with WLAN for wireless updates, as well as with ANT+ and via Bluetooth, all common sensors and all electronic circuits can be connected. The user interface can be set up easily and clearly using a smartphone. The BOLT is therefore identical in terms of functionality to its predecessor, which, however, still looks a bit massive. In the new model, the easy operation and top connectivity of the ELEMNT has been combined with an aerodynamic shape that merges almost seamlessly with the bike.
