General: ProjectZebra – Team BULLS at Cape Epic: King's Stage!

March 26, 2017 by the editorial office

Inside Blog: Yesterday's queen stage of the Cape Epic confirmed the 'bulls' impression of the previous days - last year's winners Karl Platt and Urs Huber are a safe top 10 team this year, but you can't keep up with the absolute world leaders. Despite all the disappointment, the mood is still good.

The mission of defending the title for Team BULLS will not be crowned with success this year - it had already been indicated in the last few days that the jump to the top of the overall ranking would no longer be the case, and after the king's stage it is now a certainty. Karl Platt and Urs Huber from the BULLS I team only managed fourteenth place - but since the loss of time was limited, they were able to defend seventh place in the overall classification. "It's been a disappointing week for me," five-time Cape Epic winner Karl Platt bluntly admits. "But that's cycling, sometimes the others are just faster." After great difficulties at the beginning, Simon Stiebjahn and Tim Böhme from Team BULLS II found their way into the race better and better, even if the BULLS Support Team was not able to finish in the top 20 in the end.

Tomorrow is the last stage, where you want to say goodbye to Cape Epic 2017.
