General: Rock the Hill 2017: Music and bike festival on the Geißkopf from June 16th to 18th

March 26, 2017 by the editorial office

Rock the Hill: On the third weekend in June, the Rock the Hill Festival will take place again this year at the MTB Zone Bikepark Geißkopf. While in the evening a colorful lineup of internationally renowned bands creates a good atmosphere, the extensive bike supporting program during the day invites two-wheeler friends of all stripes to have a lot of fun on the bike - here, too, the motto is variety. Not only gravity fans get their money's worth.

From June 16th to 18th, 2017, the Rock the Hill Festival will once again draw bikers, cyclists and music enthusiasts from numerous regions to the Bavarian Forest. During the day the cyclists get their money's worth; Around 40 manufacturers are presenting new and proven bikes and accessories at the MTB Expo – including test bikes! An extensive supporting program of driving technique courses, guided tours along the beautiful trails of the Bavarian Forest and of course the MTB zone Bikepark Geißkopf leave nothing to be desired. Morning yoga or a 3D archery course also offer visitors who are less enthusiastic about two-wheelers a colorful program before the bands take the stage in the evening.

The musical line-up is top-class this year: The world-famous feel-good punk band Me First and the Gimme Gimmes let their guitar sounds resound over the Geißkopf, as do the Swabian rockers Itchy Poopzkid.

Rock the Hill trailer

As a little warm-up, there is already a spectacular video of the routes on the Geißkopf. Tom Rieger bangs over the trails and really makes you want to jump on the saddle. We are all the more pleased that we can now welcome Tom to the Velomotion team. Unsurprisingly, he will primarily be responsible for testing bikes and parts in the gravity and enduro sectors. Not only does the video show that he knows his trade, but also the fact that Tom set a new record with 24 descents in the 160-hour race at Semmering. On that note – welcome aboard, Tom!
