With the Sidi Shot, the Italian shoe manufacturer has launched a new top model. Visually, the classic Sidi design is retained, but a completely new closure system and improved ventilation should ensure more comfort and driving pleasure.
The biggest innovation on the Sidi Shot compared to its predecessors is the Double Tecno 3 Push closure system that now runs centrally over the instep. This not only makes it easier to put on and take off, but also distributes the pressure better and, above all, more evenly over the upper foot. Even after several hours of driving, we didn't have to loosen our shoes or feel uncomfortable pressure points. With the push button, the screw cap can also be quickly released again, so you can make a small correction while driving. The heel width of the Sidi Shot, like that of its predecessors, can be adjusted using two small screws and a clip.
The Techpro upper consists of microfiber synthetic leather with Oeko-Tex certificate that combines breathability and water resistance. however, the material is a bit stiff at the beginning and only adapts to the foot after a few rides. Another innovation are additional mesh inserts, which are intended to increase breathability even further. Here, however, water can enter more easily when it rains and it is easier to collect dirt.
With a light and stiff full carbon sole, the Sidi Shot knows how to convince, and the sole also has an integrated air intake. Despite the high stiffness, the Shot has a little more comfort in the forefoot area, which should minimize the strain on the tendons and prevent circulatory disorders. The slightly padded insole made of ergonomically shaped foam has a memory effect, but nowadays there are much better alternatives for individual needs. With approx. 580 grams per pair in size 44, the Sidi Shot is also on the upper edge of the top road bike shoes in terms of weight.
