Spectrum / Lifestyle: In just seven days, the GlemmRide Bike Festival will start its third round. From July 6th to 9th, the European bike scene will gather again in Saalbach Hinterglemm. The highlight of the turbulent weekend is the GlemmRide Slopestyle in sparkling gold.
The spectators can definitely look forward to a very top-class riders line-up at the FMB Gold Event. In the center of Hinterglemm, the world-class athletes will once again show tricks that seem to defy all physics. Also taking part is Frenchman Thomas Lemoine, who just a few days ago took third place at the Crankworx World Tour in Innsbruck. Of course, freeride legend Sam Pilgrim from Great Britain doesn't want to miss the spectacular urban slopestyle course either. The course leads through the center of town over the roofs of the 5-star Hotel Alpine Palace.
The motto of the entire festival is “Ride, Eat, Party and Repeat”. So not only the slopestyle cracks and fans get their money's worth, but everyone who has dedicated himself to mountain biking. In Saalbach Hinterglemm there are 18 single trails and downhill routes with different levels of difficulty for rocking out and accelerating. A special treat are the tours offered with the professionals. Mountain bike hero Tibor Simai is happy to take interested riders on the Hacklberg Trail, his favorite circuit in Saalbach. Timo Pritzel and Eno Mendoza offer special kids training. With the many guided tours and courses, every biker should find what they are looking for.
Visitors can also become active themselves at the exciting side events - and these competitions can be quite unusual. Lines Bike Pulling is one-on-one over a distance of 50 meters - and with a 50-kilometer pallet in tow! There is also no shortage of partying at the GlemmRide Bike Festival in Saalbach Hinterglemm. Musically, the Austrian newcomers Erwin & Edwin and Kaiser Franz Josef, among others, will heat up the crowd.
