Product news: Fuji Supreme 2018 - New aero racer for women

July 13, 2017 by Michael Faiss

Market: US manufacturer Fuji has had a steadily growing range of racing bikes for women cyclists for several years. This path will also be continued in 2018 and even further expanded, as we were told during the presentation of new products for the coming season. One of the highlights is undoubtedly the Fuji Supreme 2018, which is getting a completely new frame and has become a real treat in terms of looks.

One or the other will certainly already know the Fuji Supreme - the model is the spearhead of Fuji's women's range and one of the few racing bikes specifically tailored to the needs of women. Thanks to good sales figures and the growing popularity of women's cycling, the corresponding range is being expanded and in the course of this the Supreme will be given a completely new frame, which will not be available in the same way for men either.

The carbon frame was developed with the help of CFD simulations on computers and in the wind tunnel and has a very distinctive look. On the one hand, this is due to the Kammtail tubes - the cut end not only improves the aerodynamics, but also makes a lot thanks to the angular look. In any case, great importance was attached to good aerodynamic values and attention was paid to details; the ends of the quick-release axles are recessed in the frame to prevent unfavorable air turbulence. The rear end, which has also been completely redesigned, pursues a similar goal.

For 2018, the new Fuji Supreme will only be available with disc brakes. The designers believe in the superiority of hydraulic brakes and assume that sooner or later they will completely replace rim brakes.

The Fuji Supreme 2018 will initially come onto the market in three variants and will be available with a maximum frame size of 53cm.
