cycling: Tour de Pologne stage #7: Dylan Teuns achieves his masterpiece

August 4, 2017 by Michael Behringer

Dylan teuns

Cycling: Dylan Teuns (BMC) did it. The 25-year-old Belgian has just won the 2017 Tour de Pologne. Despite numerous attacks on the 132-kilometer section to Bukowina Tatrzanska, he was able to defend his yellow jersey.

What a fight! Despite constantly struggling to follow the pace, Dylan Teuns managed to finish in the first group today. After seven stages, he is now two seconds ahead of local hero Rafal Majka (Bora-hansgrohe) and three seconds ahead of Wout Poels (Sky), who won the final stage. In the sprint of a group of five, the Dutchman prevailed in front of Brit Adam Yates (Orica-Scott). Rafal Majka finished third and almost snatched the jersey from Dylan Teuns thanks to the time bonus. Instead, Dylan Teuns is now celebrating the greatest success of his career.
