cycling: Fabian Cancellara in his first triathlon 14.

September 5, 2017 by Michael Behringer

Cancellara Fabian

Cycling: Former professional cyclist Fabian Cancellara completed his first triathlon in Rorschach on Sunday. He finished 55,5th in the men's category at the TriStar 14.

"It's not about winning"

As Fabian Cancellara stated in an interview with Velomotion at Eurobike, winning isn't his main goal in triathlon. Rather, the Swiss athlete wants to gain further experience and identify areas for improvement. He has recently joined the company TriStar and aims to contribute to its continued development. Cancellara demonstrated his excellent physical condition at the 55,5k in Rorschach. After a 500-meter swim, a 50-kilometer bike ride, and a 5-kilometer run, he finished in 14th place. In the M35 category – men aged 35 and over – he even secured 4th place. Sandrine Benz, incidentally, was the fastest woman of the day, finishing just ahead of him.
