Market / Eurobike 2017: As one of the leading manufacturers in the field of bicycle lighting, Busch + Müller naturally insisted on presenting its new products at its own stand at the Eurobike 2017. One of the highlights is the new Ixon Space headlight - with touch bar, stepless brightness control and 4000mAH battery.
With this light, the lighting specialists live up to their reputation as one of the most innovative suppliers. Apart from the fact that the Ixon Space brings a total of 150 lux onto the road for a maximum of three hours, it offers a completely new function with its "Touch Slider", explains Sebastian Göttling from Busch + Müller: "You can switch back and forth from 150 lux to 15 lux to suit every situation." This is B+M's response to the fact that the brightest light mode is often too much of a good thing, while a medium level is not quite enough to have sufficient visibility.
The indicator light at the top of the housing provides clarity about the battery level: It shows the remaining battery capacity or – even more interesting – “the remaining runtime depending on the brightness selected,” says Göttling. You can also display the time – certainly quite practical at night in the forest.
The 4.000 mAh battery, which is quite large, not only feeds the LEDs, but also has a power bank function: the mobile phone can be charged via the USB interface, which of course reduces the battery life. To top it all off, the light, which is fairly priced at 199 euros, is StVZO-compliant - of course from the supplier with its own production in beautiful Meinerzhagen. The Ixon Space will be available at the end of the year.
