Product news: Mavic Cosmic Pro: new road bike clothing collection for autumn and winter

October 26, 2017 by Andreas Waldera

Product news: Just in time for the beginning of the wet and cold season, the French company Mavic presents the new racing bike clothing collection Cosmic Pro for autumn and winter training. Equipped with Mavic 37.5 technology, the new line offers reliable weather protection, comfort and optimal moisture management in equal measure.

Cosmic Pro SO H2O Jacket

The windproof and waterproof Mavic Cosmic Pro SO H2O jacket was specially designed for use in wet and cold weather. A Teflon coating and taped seams ensure resistance to water, oil and dirt. With a water column of 20.000 millimeters, the jacket should indeed defy all weather conditions. Accordingly, the Cosmic Pro SO H2O jacket also has a waterproof zipper and a backed zipper strip. The Mavic 37.5 technology, which ensures high breathability, attracts body heat with active particles, but at the same time wicks moisture away from the body. Three back pockets and two waterproof zipped pockets offer storage space. The Cosmic Pro SO H2O Jacket is available at a price of 275,00 euros.

Cosmic Pro LS Wind Jersey

The windproof Cosmic Pro LS Wind Jersey has a light 2,5-layer membrane in the front area. Thanks to the use of the Warm Shell ST material with a high material density, the jersey should combine the properties of a jacket and a jersey. Again, the Mavic 37.5 technology is used for optimized breathability. The continuous front zip of the body-hugging jersey makes it easy and uncomplicated to put on and take off. Lateral stretch parts should guarantee a plus in freedom of movement. The high-closed Ergo Cuff collar and the tight-fitting, glued cuffs counteract the ingress of wind. Reflective trimmings ensure safety in the dark. The Cosmic Pro LS Wind Jersey, which weighs just 460 grams, is available for EUR 170,00.

Mavic Cosmic Pro Thermo Bib Short

The water-repellent Mavic Cosmic Pro Thermo Bib Short is also ideal for cool and rainy days. The lightweight, weighing only 200 grams, comes with a multitude of features. These include the soft and roughened Lycra material with DuPontTM Teflon finish, the Ergo 3D-Pro seat pad with OrthoLite multi-layer construction and the minimal, flat seams. The Ergo Grip SL leg grippers promise an ideal compromise between support and wearing comfort with a particularly wide, soft end. To give water and cold no chance, the exposed zones of the bib shorts have been reinforced. The Cosmic Pro Thermo Bib Short is available from specialist retailers for 160,00 euros.
