100% Speedcraft: Good glass and sturdy frame

5 October 2017 by Florian Nowak

Test: The 100% Speedcraft has become known as the Peter Sagan glasses. With contrast-enhancing lenses and a stable frame that does not pinch, the glasses can play at the forefront of the test field. Also, a little more effort was put into the packaging than just putting everything in a box.

100% Speedcraft - Glass

The glass of the 100% Speedcraft has a pleasant tint and offers optimal UV protection on sunny trips. If the weather doesn't play along, there is a transparent interchangeable lens, which is in no way inferior to the tinted one in terms of performance. Our glass also had the contrast-enhancing HIPER LENS for particularly vivid colors and enhanced details. We tested the tall version of the Speedcraft, which is why the glass goes down quite a bit and allows for a wide field of view. Only the central nose bar is a bit annoying, but it doesn't cover the entire underside. It is also noticeable that the environment in the periphery is highlighted differently through the polycarbonate glass, which ensures a very pleasant feeling while driving.

100% Speedcraft fit

The frame of the Speedcraft is very robust and is called Grilamid TR90 LXS. Ventilation openings on the temples and on the underside of the nose bridge prevent the glasses from fogging up. Due to the size of the glasses, it is also almost impossible for dirt or splashing water to get under the glasses, as the underside closes very well. The robust frame can also be individually adjusted on the nose pads and side brackets and has an anti-slip layer. Despite the hard and stable material, there are no uncomfortable pressure points.

100% Speedcraft - Packaging & Accessories

The 100% Speedcraft comes in a slightly different cardboard packaging that has small knobs and offers something different. Under the packaging there is a normal hard case, which additionally protects the glasses. In addition, a transparent interchangeable lens is included in the scope of delivery, which can be exchanged in a few steps and should therefore provide a good view in bad weather or on cloudy days. There is also a microfiber bag and a spare nose piece.

The 100% Speedcraft is a great performance goggle that is very balanced across all categories. Even if it is not outstanding on any level, it is still well above average in every area and can score with good glass and a robust frame. A real all-rounder.
