However, before the starters can start in Kona, meticulous, exhausting and perfectly timed preparation is required. This also applies to the defending champion and again big favorite Jan Frodeno, who could win in Kona for the third time in a row. This year he was already able to celebrate a victory at Ironman Austria and is the reigning German champion in the middle distance.
