Product news: The traditional brand Brooks is known for its leather saddles and for its various high-quality bags and backpacks. Despite all the tradition, a few innovations and revisions in the product lines should not be missing. For 2018, the Sparkhill backpack and the Cambium All Weather saddle are among the highlights.
Brooks Sparkhill
Designed with practical innovations for the urban lifestyle, the Brooks Sparkhill backpack features a padded laptop compartment, YKK Aquaguard zippers and a unique stretchable compartment for extra items. The durable and waterproof material makes the Sparkhill the perfect companion for commuters. The backpack is available in two sizes. The smaller version has a volume of 15 liters and dimensions of 28 cm by 46 cm by 13 cm and weighs just one kilo. The slightly larger version even holds 22 liters and measures 32 cm by 50 cm by 14 cm and weighs just 1150 grams more than the smaller version. The Brooks Sparkhill is available for €170 (15 litres) and €190 (22 litres).
Brooks Cambium All Weather
Even Eddy Merckx used to ride a Brooks saddle at times. With the Cambium All Weather comes a new line of saddles from Brooks. A highlight should be the Brooks Cambium C15 All Weather with a waterproof and very robust nylon cover. The look is refined by black anodized rivets and a black frame in the classic cambium design. The all-black Cambium C15 All Weather is the sporty version of the Cambium series. Made from natural rubber and covered with a weather-resistant nylon cover, it was designed and constructed on the principle of a hammock to ensure the best damping properties. So it is also possible that the Cambium C15 does not need a break-in period and fits directly. In addition to the classic Cambium C15 version, there is also a Cambium Carved variant of the C15 All Weather. This has a relief opening in the seat area. The opening reduces pressure in the seating area and increases comfort on longer journeys. The additional flexibility absorbs shocks and vibrations from the road particularly well. Both saddles are available for €110
