De Plus remains true to bad luck
After initial examinations, the doctors, the Quick-Step Floors team and the driver himself assumed that the accident during training did not result in any serious injuries. However, more detailed investigations on Monday revealed that Laurens DePlus not only captured skin abrasions. The 22-year-old now has to undergo conservative therapy because he fractured his sacrum and pelvis in the truck crash. His teammate Peter Vakoc has already been operated on due to several vertebral fractures. Luckily remained unharmed Bob Jungels. The Luxembourger was traveling with his two colleagues in South Africa and had to witness the accident. After that, Jungels turned with one Video message to all road users. Particularly bitter: Laurens De Plus already has a long history of illness. It wasn't until October that he fell and broke his kneecap. Now he will be absent again for a few weeks. We wish you a speedy and full recovery!
