Dear readers,
After our blog has not always been up to date lately, we would like to start the year 2018 with good resolutions.
Below is a summary of the season for you with the most beautiful highlights and the greatest successes of the team.
A successful highlight for us was the BDR railway inspection in Frankfurt/Oder. Lena Charlotte Reißner, Lena-Fabienne Franke, Domenik Wolf, Jannis Peter, Dennis Kühn and I were at the start from our team.

Lena Charlotte Reißner won the omnium rating after four competitions in the U19 age group. She won the 2000m individual pursuit and the 500m time trial, finishing second in the elimination race and the points race.

I finished fifth in the Omnium and was even able to set a new personal best in the 500m time trial. I was also able to secure the German championship title in the team pursuit this season together with Lucia Mercedes Höfig (SSV Gera), Friederike Stern (RV Elxleben) and Thalea Mäder (Turbine Erfurt).
Domenik Wolf (AK U17) also put in a strong performance. He finished fourth overall after winning the 2000m individual pursuit and finishing third in the 200m flying. He was also able to drive to the top step of the podium with the TRV foursome in the team pursuit.
Lena-Fabienne Franke (AK U17) was able to shine in the 2000m individual pursuit with a new personal best time and took eleventh place in the omnium ranking.
It was particularly tight in the U19 omnium. Jannis Peter missed one of the coveted podium places with just one point behind third place. He finished the individual pursuit in second place, the elimination race in third place and the final points race in eighth place. Dennis Kühn switched to the sprint area this season and, after good performances in the BDR track inspection, made it into the coveted national track short-term squad. He finished seventh in the 500m time trial, was eighth in the 200m flying and placed sixth in the keirin.

Another highlight this year was the BDR sighting race Straße der Jugend, as well as the junior cycling league in Linden, which was held at the same time as the German championships. Unfortunately, unlike on the track, we couldn't achieve any podium places. Nevertheless, the performance of Jannis Peter should be emphasized, who in the fight against the clock in the individual time trial with fourth place just barely missed a medal. With this performance, the man from Gera showed his ability and confirmed that he is one of the national leaders in the junior class. In the juniors, Lena Charlotte Reißner came in ninth in the individual time trial and one day later in the road race she finished eleventh. Lena-Fabienne Franke and I started in the U17w and finished the road race in 21st and 30th place. Luke Wilk fought his way to 17st place in the U41m race.

These were some highlights from our past season, I hope you enjoyed reading them.
