Radcross: At the last World Cup, the champions proved once again why they are currently the dominant players in cyclocross. Sanne Cant (IKO Beobank) triumphed in the women's category, Mathieu Van der Poel (Corendon-Circus) in the men's category. Both had already secured victory in the overall World Cup before the race. However, this did not stop them from giving the competition no chance today.

Cant also wins in Hoogerheide
The Cross Country World Championships will take place in Valkenburg next weekend. The favorites for this season's highlight should be certain. For women, the name must Sanne Cant fall first. The Belgian wants to defend her world title there. She should have enough self-confidence, since she was once again the strongest rider at the World Cup in Hoogerheide today. She left the Italian champion Eve Lechner (Clif) ten seconds behind, Evie Richards (Trek) 19 and Marianne Vos (WM3) 51. By a margin of 107 points over Kailin Keough (Cylance) Sanne Cant can look forward to winning the overall World Cup. She wants to crown her strong season next weekend at the Cross Country World Championships in Valkenburg.

Van der Poel with a sovereign home win
One rider is almost more dominant than the women in cyclocross at the moment. Mathieu van der Poel seems hard to beat. With a view to the upcoming world championship, one can hardly think of another winner. The Dutchman dominated today's race from the start and clinched a lights-to-flag victory. Even if Wout van aert (Crelan-Charles) was only eight seconds behind at the finish, this victory never seemed in danger. The third place Michael Vanthourenhout (Marlux-Bingoal) was already 1:41 behind. This means that Van der Poel has won seven out of nine World Cup races this season. The German champion Marcel Meisen (Steylaerts-Betfirst) finished 18th.
